Thomas is on his way to a life where it's just him and his girlfriend. But the dream bursts like a soap bubble when she breaks up with him. Thomas tells the quirky Annemarie about his broken relationship and has to realize that no matter what happens, no matter how dark and evil, there is always a reason to jump into life.
